Introduction

Welcome to the fourth side quest. At this stage of the journey, you have learnt about how to look after your body and mind by getting the correct sleep, nutrition & exercise. You and your team are ready to climb the ‘One Sky’ mountain. As in life itself, you will face many challenges and so you will need to develop your character; to become the hero of your own story. This lesson will help you. Good luck!

Challenge 2: Character Development

Everyone loves stories, especially stories with a hero at the centre. We love to hear about heroes undertaking difficult journeys, not only because the journey is exciting, but because our hero grows and learns with the journey, and because we learn something too.

Project One Sky brings you on a journey to climb a mountain, but more importantly it prepares you for your journey through life. Understanding the hero’s journey will help you to face your own fears, whether that’s a cold shower, a penalty kick, or some mornings your biggest fear might be getting out of bed. Be the hero in your own story!

For this task, you must watch the video below, and answer the questions on the worksheet under the ‘Materials’ tab above.

Challenge 3: Discomfort is your friend

The following video will attempt to push you out of your comfort zone. You don’t have to jump into cold water, but ask yourself, is there something that you know you should do, but it’s uncomfortable to do it? Do it anyway!
